Jammu, Feb 6: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has suspended two doctors in connection with an incident at Hakeem Sonauallah Hospital, Sopore, on February 3.
As per an order, Consultant Gynaecologist Dr Anjum Nazir of SDH Sopore and Medical Officer Dr Tariq Ahmad Dar of DH Bandipora have been placed under immediate suspension pending an enquiry.
The Health and Medical Education Department issued the suspension order to ensure an impartial investigation while maintaining the integrity of the healthcare system.
Both doctors have been attached to the Directorate of Health Services, Jammu, until further orders.
In addition to their suspension, the Government has imposed a blanket ban on their private practice across Jammu and Kashmir.
The operation theatre of Hakeem Sonauallah Hospital has also been sealed until the probe concludes. |
