Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 8: The Sai Shyam Educational Society, Ghou-Manhasan, celebrated its Foundation Day and Annual Day with a vibrant cultural programme at its educational campus. Students from Sai Shyam College of Education and Sai Shyam Public Higher Secondary School showcased various performances, including thought-provoking presentations on drug addiction and social evils. The event was graced by Sh. Surinder Kumar, Hon'ble MLA Marh, as the Chief Guest, while Mr. Balbir Lal, Chairman DDC Ghou-Manhasan, attended as Guest of Honour. Several distinguished personalities, including Sh. Rajinder Singh Chib, Ex-Chairman DDC Ghou-Manhasan, Sh. Jagdish Raj, Sarpanch Sandwan, Dolly Aarwal Tickoo (Sahitya Kala Academy), Dr. Sudhir Singh (Shiksha Sanskriti Uthan Nyas), and others, were present as Special Guests. The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by a welcome address by Dr. Usha Tickoo, Director of the Society, who highlighted the institution's achievements. In his speech, Chief Guest Sh. Surinder Kumar commended the institution's role in shaping young minds and emphasized the importance of moral education alongside academics. Medals and certificates were awarded to academic achievers, best debater, best performer, most disciplined and regular students. Teachers and non-teaching staff were also honored for their dedication and contributions. The event was attended by parents and civil society members of Ghou-Manhasan. The proceedings were conducted by Ms. Komal Sambyal and Ms. Asha, while Mr. Sanjew Kumar Pandita, Principal of Sai Shyam Public Hr. Sec. School, delivered the vote of thanks.
