Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, Feb 8: Police in Rehambal have arrested two drug peddlers and seized 4.30 grams of a heroin-like substance from their possession. A police team from PS Rehambal, led by the SHO, was conducting routine vehicle checking at a naka point when they noticed two suspicious individuals approaching from Jammu on foot. Upon spotting the police, the duo attempted to flee but were swiftly apprehended. The suspects have been identified as Sumit Suri, son of Roshan Lal Suri, a resident of MH Road, Udhampur, and Sahil Bhat, son of Nishat Ullah, from Gangera, Udhampur. During a thorough frisking, police recovered 4.30 grams of a heroin-like substance from them. Following the recovery, both individuals were arrested on the spot. A case has been registered at PS Rehambal under FIR No. 21/2025, and further investigation is underway. |
