J&K Police pay tribute to DySP Thakur

Srinagar, Feb 24: Jammu and Kashmir Police paid rich tributes to the late Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Aman Kumar Thakur who laid down his life in the line of duty on this day in 2019.
DySP Thakur laid down his life in the line of duty during an anti-terrorist operation in Turigam Kulgam district of south Kashmir on February 24, 2019.
On the occasion, the commemoration parade was held at District Police Lines Bandipora, and floral wreaths were laid at the Martyrs memorial as a mark of respect for his supreme sacrifice and for safeguarding the integrity and sovereignty of the nation.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Bandipora Harmeet Singh Mehta along with other officers of Bandipora police paid their homage by placing floral wreaths at the Martyr Memorial.
SSP Bandipora on behalf of Bandipora police lauded the commitment and devotion of DySP Thakur towards his professional obligations and shall always be remembered, a police statement said.
“Today, we honour and remember the ultimate sacrifice made by DySP Aman Thakur—a brave heart who gave his life in the line of duty”, Kashmir Zone police posted on X.
“His unwavering commitment, selflessness, and bravery will never be forgotten. We stand united in gratitude, respect, and remembrance”, they added.
