Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 24: Veerakshi Sharma, a Class IX student of Delhi Public School (DPS) Jammu, has been honored with the prestigious Rajya Puraskar for Bharat Scouts and Guides. She received the award from the Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor of J&K, Sh. Manoj Sinha, at a ceremony held in Jammu. Veerakshi's journey in scouting began with the Cubs and Bulbul Program, which introduces young children to teamwork, discipline, and service through engaging activities. Over the years, she has demonstrated exceptional commitment to the values of Bharat Scouts and Guides, earning this distinguished recognition. The Bharat Scouts and Guides is a voluntary, non-political movement that instills leadership and service-oriented values among young people, following the principles set by its founder, Lord Baden-Powell. In addition to the award, Veerakshi was also presented with a certificate of appreciation for her achievements. The management of DPS Jammu, including Hon'ble President-RCT, Sh. M.K. Ajatshatru Singh, Distinguished PVC Kuwarani Dr. Ritu Singh, Hon'ble Director Sh. S.S.
