Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 27: The Electoral Literacy Club, in collaboration with the NSS unit of GDC Sidhra, organized a Debate Competition on "Governance and Constitutional Role in Strengthening Democracy" as part of the celebrations marking 75 years of the adoption of the Indian Constitution. The event commenced with Prof. Meesha Bhagat introducing the theme and encouraging students to participate actively. The debate focused on governance challenges and the constitutional framework of the country, with students from various semesters presenting arguments both in favor and against the topic. The competition was judged by Dr. Harpreet Kour, HoD Political Science, and Dr. Mussarat Chowdhary, HoD Economics. Tawyeeb Khan (B.A IV Sem) secured first place, Priya (B.A VI Sem) bagged second, and Ambika Sharma (B.A VI Sem) claimed third position. The event was successfully organized by Dr. Meesha Bhagat, Convener of the Electoral Literacy Club, and Dr. Purvaiya Hans, NSS Programme Officer, under the guidance of Principal Dr. G.S. Rakwal. |
