Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, Feb 27: Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy (SKPA) Udhampur has launched two specialized training courses aimed at enhancing the professional competencies of Jammu and Kashmir Police personnel. The first program, a two-day course on "Ethics and Soft Skills," is being attended by 20 officers, focusing on professional integrity, ethical decision-making, and communication skills. The second program, a three-day course on "Gender Sensitization and Forensic Training," sponsored by the National Commission for Women (NCW), New Delhi, has 20 participants from various districts, emphasizing gender sensitivity and forensic investigation techniques. Both courses were inaugurated by Shri Rajinder Kumar Gupta, IPS, SSP, Deputy Director (Indoor/Trainings), SKPA Udhampur. In his address, he highlighted the importance of ethics, effective communication, gender awareness, and forensic expertise in modern policing. He stressed the need for a people-centric approach while maintaining professionalism and integrity. The training includes interactive sessions, case studies, and practical exercises to provide hands-on experience. The "Ethics and Soft Skills" course is coordinated by Inspector Abdul Momin, assisted by Head Constable Balbir Singh. The "Gender Sensitization and Forensic Training" course is coordinated by Inspector Tilak Raj, assisted by ASI Rajinder Singh. These initiatives reaffirm SKPA Udhampur's commitment to equipping police personnel with essential skills for ethical, effective, and community-oriented policing. |
