Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 3: JK AIDS Control Society, under the Department of Health and Medical Education, J&K, in collaboration with Savraj Production, Jammu, the Red Ribbon Club of GDC Bishnah, and the Anti-Drug Club of GDC Bishnah, organized a powerful Nukkad Natak (street play) to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS prevention, misconceptions, and available support systems. The street play, performed by the talented artists of Savraj Production, effectively conveyed important messages about HIV transmission, preventive measures, and the need to break the stigma surrounding the disease. The performance also highlighted the AIDS toll-free helpline number, ensuring that those in need know where to seek help. The program was organised under the aegis of Dr Shallu Samyal , Principal of the College. Senior faculty member Dr. Anju Bala appraised the efforts of both students and performers, appreciating their contribution to spreading awareness. She emphasized the importance of youth involvement in public health initiativesand commended the collaborative efforts of JK AIDS Control Society, Savraj Production, the Red Ribbon Club, and the Anti-Drug Club in organizing this meaningful event. The event witnessed active participation from students, faculty, and staff, who engaged in discussions following the performance.
