Kavinder slams Mehbooba Mufti for anti-national remarks
3/3/2025 10:16:55 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 3: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta strongly condemned the statement of PDP President Mehbooba Mufti, accusing her of making remarks against the nation's interest. He criticized Mehbooba for her misleading claims regarding the allocation of land for national highways and security establishments, contrasted with the alleged use of bulldozers on civilians' land.
Reacting sharply to Mehbooba Mufti's comments, Kavinder Gupta stated that her remarks not only lack factual accuracy but also serve to create unnecessary fear and confusion among the public. "The government's actions are aimed at bolstering infrastructure development and enhancing security measures in Jammu and Kashmir, which is crucial for the region's growth and stability. Making baseless allegations against such initiatives is both irresponsible and detrimental to the peace and progress of the Union Territory," he asserted.
In a press statement issued here today, the senior BJP leader emphasized that the allocation of land for national highways and security establishments is part of a broader vision to transform Jammu and Kashmir into a hub of development and prosperity. He accused Mehbooba Mufti of playing petty politics and attempting to mislead the people for her vested interests.
"The selective outrage displayed by Mehbooba Mufti only exposes her hypocrisy. She needs to understand that safeguarding national interests and ensuring development cannot be compromised for political gains," he added.
The senior BJP leader reiterated that the government's actions are in accordance with the law and aimed at ensuring equitable development for all sections of society. He urged the people of Jammu and Kashmir to reject such divisive narratives and support the government's initiatives aimed at transforming the region.
