Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 10: Government Degree College (GDC) Kunjwani successfully concluded its week-long National Science Week, featuring a series of academic competitions and educational activities aimed at fostering scientific temperament among students. The celebration included Quiz, Essay Writing, and Poster Making Competitions, along with a Science Model Exhibition. Students also participated in an educational visit to CSIR-IIM Jammu and a specialized workshop on "Introduction to Nano and New Nanos." During the valedictory ceremony, Director of Colleges J&K, Dr. Sheikh Ajaz Bashir, reviewed the science model exhibition, commended students for their innovation, and distributed prizes. "The enthusiastic participation of our students reflects their deep interest in scientific exploration and discovery," he remarked. Principal Prof. Manisha Kohli presented a comprehensive PowerPoint presentation showcasing the college's achievements. She emphasized the importance of such activities in developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills among students. Dr. Arti Pandoh Gupta, Convener of IQAC & Science and Innovation Club, provided an overview of the Science Week events. Various competitions were conducted by Dr. Rohini Jamwal, Dr. Sajaad Iqbal Khan, Dr. Deepa Sharma, and Dr. Ramnik Kour, while esteemed faculty members judged the events. The event was organized under the guidance of Dr. Arti Pandoh Gupta and an organizing committee comprising Dr. Bhavana Sharma, Dr. Rohini Jamwal, Dr. Deepa Sharma, Dr. Sajaad Iqbal Khan, Dr. Ramnik Kour, Dr. Pallvi Gupta, Dr. Shilpa Gupta, Dr. Anshu Mali, and Miss Ruchika Sudhan. The ceremony was hosted by Dr. Neeru and Prof. Risha, with Rudhani, Vijay, and Saransh from Semester 6 conducting the proceedings. Dr. Bhavana Sharma delivered the formal vote of thanks.
