Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 11: As part of the 54th National Safety Week (March 4-10, 2025), the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), J&K, in collaboration with Power Grid Corporation Ltd., organized a First-Aid Awareness Program under the supervision of Sh. Rohit Khajuria, General Secretary, IRCS, J&K. The session aimed to enhance workplace safety by equipping employees with essential first-aid skills. Red Cross team members, including Dr. Kavita Nijhon (Medical Officer), Sh. Ravi Kant Magotra (Sup. Pharmacist), and Ms. Vironica Marwah (Field Officer), conducted interactive demonstrations on CPR, wound management, patient transportation, handling animal bites, and managing medical emergencies in office settings. S. J.P. Singh, Chief Manager, Transmission Line Maintenance/Disaster Management System, lauded IRCS's efforts and emphasized the significance of first-aid training in fostering a safe and prepared workforce. Around 50 employees participated in the session, engaging in hands-on training and Q&A discussions. IRCS, J&K, continues to promote a culture of safety and preparedness across sectors, having trained 4,551 individuals in the financial year 2024-25, including students, corporate employees, government officials, commercial drivers, and volunteers. |
