Jammu, Mar 11: Himalya Sewa Sang, Jammu, in collaboration with Jammu & Kashmir AIDS Control Society and the Health & Medical Education Department, organized an awareness camp at Old Satwari and Raipur Satwari. The event focused on educating youth about HIV/AIDS prevention, voluntary blood donation, and drug de-addiction. The camp was inaugurated by Mr. S.K. Sharma, who urged young participants (18-35 years) to follow the guidelines set by the National AIDS Control Organization and J&K AIDS Control Society. He highlighted the dangers of drug abuse, especially injected drugs, and discussed high-risk groups within communities. Speakers sensitized attendees about HIV/AIDS symptoms and the importance of voluntary blood donation. The camp witnessed active participation from youth, including Deevanshu, Pawan Kumar, Manoj, Pinky Sharma, Sahil, Vijay, Rohit, Anish, Gautam, Madan Lal, Anikit, Raju, and Sonu. |
