Early Times Report SAMBA, Mar 29: In a significant move to combat drug abuse, Samba Police organized an anti-drug awareness rally at Bari Brahmana today. The initiative aimed to educate the public, especially the youth, about the hazards of drug abuse and encourage them to stay away from this menace. The rally was led by SDPO Bari Brahmana and SHO PS Bari Brahmana, witnessing enthusiastic participation from students, parents, teachers, police personnel, and officials from the Revenue Department. The participants carried banners and posters, raising anti-drug slogans as they marched from Telli Basti through SIDCO Chowk, Main Bazar, Sabzi Mandi, Raghunath Market, before concluding back at Telli Basti. As part of the awareness campaign, Samba Police also conducted an anti-drug awareness program at Sher-e-Kashmir Higher Secondary School, Bari Brahmana, where students actively engaged in a debate competition on the dangers of drug abuse. The event was presided over by SDPO Bari Brahmana and SHO PS Bari Brahmana, emphasizing the importance of community involvement in tackling the issue. Samba Police reaffirmed its commitment to fighting drug abuse and urged the public to support the initiative by spreading awareness and guiding the youth toward a drug-free society. |
