UDHAMPUR, Apr 5: The Senior Citizens Club (Regd.) Udhampur organized a deeply emotional and patriotic tribute in honour of Late Sh. Manoj Kumar Ji, the legendary actor, director, and producer who earned the revered title of 'Bharat Kumar' for his unparalleled contribution to patriotic cinema in India.
In a solemn gathering, Club members, and admirers remembered Sh. Manoj Kumar Ji not only as a cinematic icon but as a symbol of India's patriotic spirit. His films such as Upkar, Purab Aur Paschim, and Kranti not only entertained but ignited a strong sense of nationalism, inspiring generations of Indians to stay rooted in their values and love for the motherland.
Mahadeep Singh Jamwal, President of the Club, said, "Sh. Manoj Kumar Ji was not just a filmmaker; he was the soul of patriotic cinema. His work captured the very essence of Bharat, earning him the name 'Bharat Kumar'-a name synonymous with national pride." Dr. Adarsh, Chairman of the Club, Col. (Retd.) Balwant Singh, Vice-President, and Sh. Raj Guru, General Secretary of the Club, highlighted how his films transcended entertainment to become instruments of social awakening. "His stories moved the conscience of the nation and reminded us of our duty as citizens." His films stirred feelings of sacrifice and duty among countless youth.
