Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, Apr 8: A five-day Orientation/Refresher Course for officers and officials of the CID Wing of J&K Police commenced today at the Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy (SKPA), Udhampur, with 25 personnel participating in the program. The course was formally inaugurated by Shri Rajinder Kumar Gupta, IPS, SSP and Deputy Director (Indoor), SKPA, who welcomed the participants on behalf of the Director, SKPA. In his address, Shri Gupta emphasized that intelligence is the backbone of policing, playing a vital role in maintaining public order, law enforcement, and criminal investigation. He highlighted that strategic use and analysis of intelligence are key to dismantling criminal networks and enhancing the effectiveness of crime management. Stressing the police's core responsibility to serve humanity and protect life and property, he underlined the importance of adopting modern and effective intelligence methodologies to counter internal security threats. The course is being coordinated by Inspector Kuldeep Krishan, with support from Head Constable Randip Singh, member faculty. The training aims to equip CID personnel with updated tools and techniques for intelligence gathering, analysis, and operational planning to bolster internal security and law enforcement efficiency. |
