BGSBU joins 'One Nation, One Subscription' initiative to boost research excellence
4/8/2025 9:43:33 PM
Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Apr 8: Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) has taken a major stride in promoting academic excellence and research by gaining access to over 13,000 high-quality journals under the Government of India's One Nation, One Subscription (ONOS) initiative. This initiative allows students, faculty, and researchers at BGSBU to access a vast pool of scholarly resources from top publishers across disciplines, available through institutional IP-based login within the university campus.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Jawaid Iqbal hailed the move as transformative, stating, "This will significantly elevate our research capabilities and foster a strong culture of academic innovation. I urge all stakeholders to utilize this opportunity to its fullest."
Praising the Government's efforts, he added, "ONOS is a bold step toward democratizing knowledge access. It aligns perfectly with our mission to build an intellectually vibrant campus community."
Prof. M. J. Warsi, Dean Academic Affairs, emphasized the initiative's impact on interdisciplinary research, saying, "This access opens up a world of collaboration and discovery for our scholars, both nationally and internationally."
The ONOS access is expected to greatly benefit BGSBU's academic and research pursuits, enabling deeper inquiry and a more robust contribution to global knowledge creation.
