KHOUR, Apr 9: The NSS unit of GDC Khour organized an awareness lecture to commemorate 134th birth anniversary of the architect of Indian Constitution Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar. The resource person of the lecture was Dr. Khursheed Ahangar (Lecturer in Political Science). He enthralled the audience on the values, efforts and contribution of Dr. B.R Ambedkar for the poorest sections of the society and the nation as a whole. He gave great insight on the life history and teachings of Dr. B.R Ambedkar. He elaborated in detail of his contributions in various fields like social justice and equality, inclusion of fundamental rights, relevance of independent judiciary, drafting of the preamble which outlines the basic principles and values of Indian Constitution. The event was organized by Dr. Rashmi Sharma (HoD Political Science) and Prof. Himanshu Khajuria, NSS PO, under the overall guidance of Prof. (Dr.) T.K Sharma, worthy Principal of the College. In his address, the Principal of the College encouraged the students to follow the footprints of Dr. B.R Ambedkar and imbibe in themselves the principles enshrined in the Constitution. |
