Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 9: The Senior Citizens Joy Society (SCJS) organized a captivating seminar on "Sanskrit and Cultural Heritage" to honor India's spiritual and linguistic legacy. The event was graced by renowned Vedic scholar Shastriji Purushotam Lal Dubey as the Chief Guest and presided over by Dr. Shreyansh Kumar Jain, Chairman of SCJS. The seminar commenced with Ashok Kumar Gupta introducing the theme, laying the foundation for a rich academic and cultural exchange. Dr. Jain formally welcomed the chief guest and highlighted his remarkable contributions in education, NCC, Scouts, and Sanskrit promotion. He also recited a touching poem as a tribute to Sanskrit's enduring relevance. In his keynote address, Shastriji Dubey emphasized Sanskrit's foundational role in India's knowledge systems-ranging from scriptures to science-and underscored the urgent need to revive cultural values in today's fast-changing world. Through his poetic reflections, he described Sanskrit as "the soul of our culture" and offered a free 10-day course in conversational Sanskrit, warmly welcomed by the attendees. The program was efficiently conducted by Ashok Khajuria, Secretary SCJS, and concluded with a vibrant Q&A session featuring active participation from eminent attendees including Prof. Virender Gupta, H.C. Vaid, Rajneesh Gupta, Narinder Wadhera, C.M. Sharma, Yash Paul Sharma, and Anju Bansal. |
