| GDC Vijaypur hosts slogan writing event on Ambedkar Jayanti | | | Early Times Report
VIJAYPUR, Apr 10: As part of the ongoing celebrations of B. R. Ambedkar Jayanti, the Department of History in collaboration with NSS Unit (KHIDMAT) of Government Degree College (GDC) Vijaypur organized a slogan writing competition on the theme "Constitutionalism and Rule of Law." The event aimed to enlighten students about the significant contributions of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar in the framing of the Indian Constitution. NSS volunteers participated with great enthusiasm, expressing their thoughts through impactful slogans highlighting Ambedkar's vision, values, and his fight for social justice. Speaking on the occasion, Principal Dr. Ashu Vashist emphasized Dr. Ambedkar's pivotal role in embedding the ideals of equality, liberty, and fraternity into the Constitution. She lauded his relentless efforts against caste discrimination and his lifelong commitment to social reform. The Principal appreciated the organizing team and highlighted the importance of such initiatives in spreading constitutional awareness among students. The event received active support from senior faculty members, including Prof. Anita Jamwal (HOD Political Science), Prof. Mamta Gupta (HOD Commerce), and Dr. Anoop Kumar Bhagat (HOD Sociology). The programme was coordinated by Dr. Naseem Chowdhary (NSS PO & HOD English) and Dr. Radhika Rasyal (Lecturer, History).
