Jammu police organizes anti-drug rally | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 10: As part of its commitment to the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, Jammu Police organized a massive Anti-Drug Rally on April 8, 2025, at Palli in Bishnah. The rally was led by SHO Bishnah, Inspector Sushil Choudhary, and witnessed enthusiastic participation from a large number of people, especially children. The rally commenced from Palli Morh and concluded at Palli village, echoing powerful anti-drug slogans like "Chitay Walay Murdabad, Chitay Walay Hi-Hi." Participants took a collective oath pledging to never use drugs and to actively support the police in curbing drug abuse in their communities. In a special gesture, several senior citizens who have abstained from drugs and alcohol throughout their lives were honoured with Anti-Drug Mementos by District Police Jammu. This initiative aimed to project them as role models and inspire the younger generation to lead a substance-free life. The rally aimed to spread awareness about the grave consequences of drug addiction and to foster a long-lasting commitment to a drug-free lifestyle. By engaging children, youth, and local citizens, the campaign seeks to empower communities to take a stand against substance abuse. Organized under the Civic Action Programme (CAP), this initiative highlights the Jammu Police's dedication to creating a safer and healthier society. Similar anti-drug campaigns will be carried out in other parts of the district, especially in identified drug hotspots. This proactive approach by Jammu Police reinforces its mission to safeguard community well-being through education, engagement, and effective action against the menace of drugs. |
