Indian Army organises free Eye Check-Up Camp | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Apr 10: In the run-up to Rajouri Day celebrations, the Indian Army’s Ace of Spades Division, in collaboration with Madhav Netralaya — a reputed eye care NGO from Nagpur — organized a three-day Free Eye Check-Up Camp for the people of Rajouri. The camp aimed to promote accessible healthcare and provide essential eye care services to the local population. Senior ophthalmologists from Madhav Netralaya, assisted by the Indian Army’s medical teams, conducted comprehensive eye examinations, distributed free medicines, and advised further treatment or surgeries where required. During the camp, a total of 908 patients were examined and 500 spectacles were distributed free of cost, benefiting people from all age groups — especially school children and the elderly. This impactful health outreach reinforced the Indian Army’s commitment to the welfare of border communities and highlighted the spirit of service that defines its ongoing Sadbhavana initiatives. The camp not only addressed critical medical needs but also helped in strengthening the bond between the Army and local residents, reflecting compassion, care, and community service at its best. |
