| GDC Sidhra observes Ambedkar Jayanti with weeklong activities | | | Early Times Report
SIDHRA, Apr 11: As part of a weeklong series of events, the NSS Unit of Government Degree College, Sidhra commemorated the 134th birth anniversary of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar - the chief architect of the Indian Constitution and a tireless crusader for equality and social justice.
Under the able leadership of the college Principal Dr. G.S. Rakwal, a range of activities were organized to honor Dr. Ambedkar's legacy and spread awareness about his life and contributions. The commemorative events included an awareness rally and the Preamble pledge, aiming to instill constitutional values among students.
Students from all semesters, along with faculty members, participated in the events with full enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. The rally highlighted Dr. Ambedkar's vision of social equality, justice, and education for all, while the Preamble pledge served as a powerful reminder of the democratic values enshrined in the Constitution.
A certificate distribution ceremony was held to appreciate the efforts of all participants. In his address, Dr. G.S. Rakwal encouraged students to actively engage in such initiatives for their holistic development. He urged them to draw inspiration from the life of Dr. Ambedkar, who dedicated himself to the upliftment of society and nation-building. He also lauded the dedication of the faculty and NSS volunteers in making the program a success.
The event was efficiently coordinated by Dr. Purvaiya Hans, NSS Programme Officer, with active support from the NSS Unit and under the overall guidance of Principal Dr. G.S. Rakwal. The commemorative activities successfully reinforced Dr. Ambedkar's ideals and instilled a deep sense of civic responsibility among the participants. |
