Jammu police cracks down on illegal mining, 10 vehicles detained in rural zone | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 11: In a major crackdown against illegal mining, Jammu Police has intensified operations across the rural areas of the district, detaining 10 vehicles found transporting mining material without mandatory documentation. Under a surprise operation conducted over the past few days, various police posts and stations took swift action against violators: PP Chowki Choura detained 4 vehicles: Dumper JK02CT-0562, Dumper JK12B-9094, Dumper JK11C-3227, Tractor JK02BD-1531 (All carrying sand without Form A) BPP Sandhwan detained 2 tractor trollies without registration numbers, both found loaded with sand illegally. PS Akhnoor detained Dumper JK12C/0085 with sand and no valid documentation. PP Pounichak seized a tractor trolley (unregistered) carrying sand without Form A. BPP Jogwan detained 2 tractors: Tractor JK02BR-4616 Tractor with chassis no. MBNCA49AJRTM31570 (Both carrying sand without Form A) The District Mining Officer was informed to initiate further legal proceedings against the violators.
