Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 11: In a significant step towards strengthening educational infrastructure, MLA Bahu, Ch. Vikram Randhawa, inaugurated multiple newly developed facilities at Government High School Channi Rama, including three additional classrooms, a state-of-the-art science laboratory, a modern examination hall, and a secure boundary wall, all completed at an estimated cost of Rs 1.17 crore. The inaugural event was attended by enthusiastic students, school staff, and members of the local community. Present on the occasion were ZEPO Rashid Alam, Vice Principal Ramesh Sharma, and dedicated teaching staff including Rewa Bakshi, Veena, Jyoti Nargotra, Ashu Gupta, Anamika, and Kavita. Local leaders and prominent citizens also marked their presence, including Surjeet Singh (Mandal President), Gardhari Lal, Ashwani Khajuria, Pt. Hansraj, Sushil, Mohinder, Arif Choudhary, and others who appreciated the development initiative. In his address, MLA Vikram Randhawa reaffirmed his commitment to upgrading educational infrastructure in the region. "Education is the backbone of a progressive society. We are committed to providing our students with the facilities they deserve, so they can compete with the best across the country. This is just one step towards our vision of a well-educated and empowered Jammu," he said. The students and faculty expressed immense joy over the upgraded facilities, which are expected to significantly enhance the teaching-learning process. The science lab, in particular, will give students hands-on experience in experiments, while the new examination hall will ease logistical challenges during board exams. |
