| Bovine smuggling bid foiled, 4 bovines rescued, vehicle seize | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 13: Jammu Police, under its ongoing operation Kamdhenu, successfully foiled a bovine smuggling attempt in the Sub-Division Nagrota area. A Police team from Police Station Jhajjar Kotli intercepted a vehicle, a Mahindra bearing registration number JK19A/3092, at a naka point in Panjal. The driver of the vehicle, however, managed to flee the scene.
The police rescued four bovines from the vehicle and seized it. A case under FIR No. 52/2025 U/S 223/11 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (PCA) Act has been registered at Police Station Jhajjar Kotli. The investigation is currently ongoing.
This action has been widely appreciated by the general public, commending Jammu Police's continuous and rigorous efforts in combating bovine smuggling in the region.
