Special instructions have been issued to the Transport Wing to ensure swift clearance of fallen trees, poles, and debris from roads and public spaces to avoid disruption and prevent any loss of life or property. The Commissioner underscored the urgency of maintaining public safety during this period. The alert has been particularly emphasized for Zones 1, 2, and 3, where the Corporation is actively monitoring weather conditions and coordinating rapid response efforts. To assist residents, JMC has set up two dedicated helpline numbers for emergency support: 94697 48042, 94193 72824 Residents are strongly advised to stay indoors during severe weather and promptly report any emergencies or damage to public infrastructure through the helpline numbers. In a proactive move, JMC teams have already conducted surveys of affected areas, identifying locations with fallen trees, broken poles, and blocked roads. These teams are currently engaged in clearance and restoration operations across multiple localities in the city.
