Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 24: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta, on Wednesday said that the recent decisions taken by the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in response to the terror attack in Pahalgam that claimed 26 lives, serve as a clear and stern warning to Pakistan and its terror proxies - India will no longer tolerate cross-border terrorism in any form. Addressing a meeting at the BJP Headquarters in Jammu, Kavinder Gupta emphasized that the Modi Government has once again reaffirmed its uncompromising stance against terrorism and its steadfast commitment to safeguarding national security. He stated that while Pakistan continues to act as a breeding ground for terrorism, the Modi Government has responded with decisive action, strategic planning, and unwavering political will. "Pakistan must realize that the era of soft responses is over. Today's India, under Prime Minister Modi, speaks the language of strength and sovereignty," he asserted. Kavinder highlighted that the CCS decisions reflect the Modi government's zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism. He pointed to key measures such as the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty with Pakistan, closure of the Wagah-Attari border, revocation of the SAARC Visa Exemption Scheme for Pakistani nationals, and the expulsion of Pakistani military advisers from India, along with the withdrawal of Indian military advisers from Pakistan, as part of a comprehensive strategy to hold Pakistan accountable for its continued support to terrorism. Appealing to the people, especially those living in border areas and Jammu & Kashmir, he urged them to stand united with the security forces and support the government's efforts in building a terror-free and development-oriented future. "Under Prime Minister Modi's leadership, India is determined to crush terrorism at its roots and make it unequivocally clear to Pakistan that this nation will never bow before violence and intimidation," he concluded. |
