2 Pakistanis, one local terrorist identified as perpetrators

Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 24: The recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Anantnag, which claimed the lives of 26 unarmed tourists from eleven different states, was carried out by three heavily armed terrorists with support from Over Ground Workers (OGWs). According to official police notices, the attackers included two Pakistani nationals and one local militant from South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
The terrorists identified in the brutal assault at Baisaran, a scenic area near the Pahalgam tourist hub, are Hashim Mosa alias Suleman – A Pakistani national affiliated with the banned Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) outfit, Ali Bhai alias Talha Bhai – Another Pakistani national associated with LeT, and Adil Hussain Thokar – A resident of Anantnag district
Police had earlier announced a ₹20 lakh reward for any information leading to the neutralisation of each of the terrorists involved. The announcement came shortly after the release of their photographs and pencil sketches, which were created with inputs from survivors of the horrifying attack.
“This cowardly act will not go unpunished,” stated Anantnag Police via their official X (formerly Twitter) handle. “Any information leading to the elimination of these terrorists will be rewarded with ₹20 lakh. The identity of informants will be kept strictly confidential.”
The sketches, done in black and white, portray the suspects as young men with beards. Witnesses who survived the attack reportedly provided detailed descriptions that helped in preparing the images. While the three named suspects directly carried out the killings, it is believed that other accomplices may have remained at a distance to offer cover during the assault.
This incident marks the deadliest terror strike in Jammu and Kashmir since the Pulwama attack of 2019.
Responsibility for the massacre was claimed by The Resistance Front (TRF), a shadow group operating under the umbrella of the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba.
A large-scale manhunt has been launched in the region, as security forces continue their pursuit of the perpetrators.
