Early Times Report

Jammu, May 12: Asserting that India has never been in favour of war, J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, on Monday issued a stern warning to Pakistan, saying that any misadventure this time would invite a response so strong that it would be remembered by seven generations of the adversary.
Addressing displaced residents at the Shelter and Lodgement Centre at Sahib Bandgi Ashram in Mishriwala, Jammu, LG Sinha said, “If Pakistan doesn’t indulge in any misadventure, the situation will remain normal. But if it does, our armed forces are fully prepared to give a fierce response that will be remembered by seven generations of Pakistan.”
Referring to India’s long-standing position against war, the Lieutenant Governor said, “India has never been in favour of war, but our neighbour continues to violate the ceasefire and sponsor terrorism. Jammu and Kashmir has bled for too long due to terrorism. Despite repeated calls for peace, Pakistan is not mending its ways.”
In the wake of the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, LG Sinha echoed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s earlier resolve, saying, “Terrorists and their backers will be taught a lesson. Our forces are on high alert, and any further provocation will be met with decisive force.”
“India always advocated for peace but what happened in Pahalgam was an act of war by the terror state Pakistan. With Operation Sindoor, we have avenged Pahalgam. I am proud of our soldiers and armed forces. Our war was to teach Pakistan a lesson,” LG Sinha said.
“Our Armed Forces have repeatedly demonstrated their capability to respond decisively to threats posed by Terror state Pakistan. It harbors and exports terror and caused immense suffering through its terrorist activities in our territory,” the Lieutenant Governor said.
He said that India will never compromise on its sovereignty and territorial integrity. “We are resolved to dismantle the entire terror ecosystem from Jammu Kashmir. On the night of May 6th-7th, our Armed Forces executed a precise Operation Sindoor, demonstrating both unwavering resolve and commendable restraint and successfully demolished terror factories in Pakistan,” LG Sinha said.
The Lieutenant Governor acknowledged the anxiety among border residents and assured them of full support from the administration. “We understand the concerns of our people. We will provide all possible help, including the construction of bunkers as per the latest assessment. The entire administration is with you. When it comes to the nation, every citizen must cooperate and stand united.”
