Poonch, July 21: Director General of Police J&K Nalin Prabhat on Monday visited Shri Baba Budha Amarnath Ji Temple in Mandi to offer prayers and review the security and logistic arrangements for the upcoming Budha Amarnath Ji Yatra-2025, a police spokesman said in statement.
The DGP was accompanied by ADGP SJM Gillani, IGP Jammu Zone B.S. Tuti (IPS), IGP CRPF Jammu Sector R. Gopala Krishna Rao (IPS), DIG Rajouri-Poonch Range, SSP Poonch, and other senior officers from the police and civil administration, the spokesman said.
After offering worship at the temple, the DGP and the team interacted with local officials to assess deployment readiness, pilgrim safety, and infrastructure preparedness. The high-level visit reflects the administration’s commitment to ensuring a safe and smooth pilgrimage experience for devotees from across the country.
The dignitaries later departed from Mandi towards Poonch prior to this, the senior officers had Poonch for a similar security review. The DGP and senior police leadership would stay at GO Mess DPL Poonch, as part of their ongoing field inspection, the statement added. |
