Pensioners get hike in DA
The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has announced a 3 percent increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) for pensioners and family pensioners, raising it from 55 percent to 58 percent of the basic pension or family pension. As per an order issued by the Finance Department, the revised rate will take effect from July 1, 2025.
The arrears for the months of July to September 2025 will be paid in cash in October 2025, and the revised DA will be included in monthly pensions thereafter, the order said.
Other existing rules related to the payment of DA will continue to remain in force, it said.
