MLA Dr. Rajeev Bhagat kicks off development projects worth Rs 58 lakh in Bishnah

Bishnah, Dec 21: Intensifying his efforts to upgrade civic infrastructure, Dr. Rajeev Kumar Bhagat MLA Bishnah, today commenced the construction of major lane and drain projects across several wards in Bishnah Town. The development works, estimated to cost Rs 58 lakhs, are aimed at addressing long-standing drainage issues and improving pedestrian connectivity in the heart of the town.
The projects inaugurated today primarily cover Ward Nos. 1, 2, 3, and 13. These areas have frequently faced challenges related to clogged drains and dilapidated lanes, particularly during the monsoon season. By initiating these works, Dr. Bhagat emphasized his commitment to transforming Bishnah into a model town with modern amenities.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Dr. Bhagat stated that the BJP-led development agenda is focused on ensuring that every corner of the constituency receives equitable attention. "Our priority is to provide a clean and hygienic environment for the residents. These new drainage systems and paved lanes will not only improve the aesthetic appeal of the town but also prevent waterlogging and related health hazards," the MLA remarked.
Community Participation
The event was marked by a strong presence of local leaders and residents who welcomed the move.
Prominent among those who witnessed the inauguration included Surjeet Singh Neta (District General Secretary) Surinder Singh Bubby (Former Corporator) Sumit Sadotra (Mandal President Bishnah) Kuldeep Sodi (General Secretary Bishnah) Other dedicated party workers and senior leaders present on the occasion included Kuldeep Raj Billa, Arjun Singh, Bharat Bhushan (Senior Leader), Ravi Kumar, Karan Singh, and several others.
The local residents expressed their gratitude to Dr. Bhagat for his proactive approach, noting that these specific wards had been in need of repairs for a significant period. The MLA directed the executing agencies to maintain high-quality standards and ensure that the construction is completed within the stipulated timeframe to minimize inconvenience to the public.
