Early Times Report RAMBAN, Dec 27: In view of the upcoming New Year celebrations and the expected influx of tourists, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ramban chaired a review meeting to assess and strengthen security arrangements at the prominent tourist destinations of Patnitop and Sanasar. The meeting was convened to ensure the safety,security and hassle free movement of tourists during the New Year carnival being organized by the Tourism Department and the Patnitop Development Authority. During the meeting, a comprehensive review of security measures was undertaken, with special focus on crowd management, area domination, traffic regulation, surveillance, and emergency response mechanism in and around Patnitop and Sanasar. Emphasis was laid on maintaining a robust security grid to ensure that the celebrations remain peaceful, incident-free, and enjoyable for the tourists and local visitors alike. All intelligence and security agencies deployed on the ground shared their inputs, threat assessments, and operational preparedness. Detailed discussions were held on inter-agency coordination, real-time information sharing, and deployment strategies to effectively deal with any contingency. SSP Ramban stressed the need for heightened vigilance, proactive policing, and visible presence of security forces at key locations, entry and exit points, parking areas, and venues of celebrations.Emphasis was laid on the establishment of joint Nakas with DOda and Udhampur district police. The meeting was attended by 2IC CRPF 187 Battalion, 2IC CRPF 84 Battalion, AddlSP Ramban, DySP Headquarters Ramban, DySP Operations Ramban, DySP CID Special Branch, DySP CI Ramban, DySP Traffic Ramban,officers from 48 Rashtriya Rifles, 23 Rashtriya Rifles and central intelligence agencies. SSP Ramban reiterated that Ramban Police, in close coordination with central armed police forces, the Army, and intelligence agencies, is committed to ensuring the safety and security of tourists and maintaining a peaceful atmosphere during the New Year festivities in the district. |
