Early Times Report

SRINAGAR, Dec 27: Jammu and Kashmir Police have booked two persons, including a social media influencer, for allegedly performing dangerous driving stunts on snow at the ski resort of Gulmarg in Baramulla district.
An FIR was registered at Police Station Gulmarg on Tuesday under Sections 281 (rash and negligent driving) and 125 (acts endangering life or personal safety) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, along with Section 184 of the Motor Vehicles Act, against Imad ur Rehman Miya and Mohammad Munzarin Kullu, both residents of Srinagar.
Imad, a social media influencer, is the owner of Imadclicks, a Srinagar-based photography firm.
Police said the two accused were caught indulging in reckless driving on snow-covered roads, creating a life-threatening situation for pedestrians and other commuters in the area.
The vehicles involved were seized on the spot, and legal proceedings have been initiated, police said.
Apart from initiating legal action, police said the accused were also counselled and warned against repeating such behaviour.
“They were advised to follow traffic rules strictly, especially during snowfall and slippery road conditions,” police said.
Imad was earlier booked by the police in the Budgam district under the Indian Forest Act. On October 5, he was booked for allegedly trespassing into forest land after removing a barricade and leading a convoy of Thar vehicles into the area. He later uploaded a 12-minute video on social media, which evoked intense debate on social media.
