JAMMU, Dec 27: Opening ceremony of district Jammu gymnastic championship 2025 26 was held with great enthusiasm marking a significant milestone for gymnastics in the district. The event witnessed active participation of various schools and academy gymnasts. The district championship was inaugurated by Er. Kiran Wattal, President gymnastic association J&K and Vice President Gymnastics Federation of India. This is the first time in the history of J&K, that gymnastics district championship was held in 11 districts namely Srinagar, Shopian, Pulwama, Kulgam, Anantnag, Kathua, Poonch, Reasi, Rajouri and Udhampur. Out of which the championship was held for the first time in Pulwama, Kulgam and Anantnag (Kashmir province) and in Rajouri and Udhampur (Jammu province). Mittali, Natasha and S. Ravinder Singh coordinated the championship. The Tournament is going on in collaboration with J&K Sports Council and with active support of Nusrat Gul, Secretary J&K Sports Council and Satish Sharma, Sport Minister of J&K. Satyam Gupta, District President of Gymnastics Association of Jammu and Anish Chatterjee Koul, District Secretary Gymnastics Association Jammu presided over the event.
