Jammu Club welcomes NewYear 2026 with grand cultural evening

JAMMU, Jan 1: Jammu Club ushered in the New Year with grandeur, enthusiasm, and a spirit of togetherness through a spectacular New Year Night celebration held at the Club premises. The event witnessed overwhelming participation from members and guests, creating a vibrant, joyous, and festive atmosphere to welcome the beginning of the year.
The celebrations were graced by the esteemed presence of Monika Wali Dulloo, wife of the Chief Secretary, Jammu & Kashmir, Sh. Atal Dulloo, and Sh. Ramesh Kumar, IAS, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, who also serves as the Vice President of Jammu Club. Their gracious presence as Special Guests added dignity, warmth, and distinction to the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Sh. Ramesh Kumar, IAS, extended heartfelt New Year greetings to the members and their families. He appreciated Jammu Club's role as a premier institution fostering social harmony, cultural vibrancy, and community bonding, and expressed confidence that the Club would continue to achieve new milestones in the years ahead.
The highlight of the evening was the electrifying performance by renowned singer Rashmeet Kaur, whose soulful and energetic renditions mesmerized the audience. Adding a special local flavour to the celebrations, Jammu's talented artist Shanaya Khanna delivered a captivating performance, earning widespread appreciation for her remarkable talent and stage presence.
The celebrations were led by Mr. Gaurav Gupta, Honorary Secretary, Jammu Club, along with the Managing Committee members and the Club staff. In his address, the Secretary conveyed warm New Year greetings to all members and expressed hope that the coming year brings peace, happiness, prosperity, good health, and overall progress for everyone.
Speaking about the Club's vision, Mr. Gaurav Gupta stated that under the dynamic guidance and supervision of the Vice President, Jammu Club is steadily scaling new heights. He reaffirmed the Club's commitment to organizing meaningful cultural and social programmes in the larger interest of its members, emphasizing that such celebrations go beyond entertainment and play a vital role in preserving cultural values while strengthening social bonds.
He expressed sincere gratitude to all Managing Committee members, sponsors, and the entire staff of Jammu Club for their wholehearted support, teamwork, and efforts in ensuring the smooth and successful conduct of the celebrations. Later in the evening, the Secretary honoured the performing artists for their outstanding performances, acknowledging their contribution in making the New Year Night truly memorable.
On the occasion, the members of the Managing Committee present included Er. Ashok Gandotra, Er. Pooja Kohli, Ashwani Gupta, Indu Puri, Sidharth Samnotra, Dr. Ritesh Gupta, Kavita Gupta, Dr. Hema Gandotra Jandial, Karan Khosa, Er. Vasundhara Sharma and Vikram Dhawan. K. K.
