BBBP gets major boost in J&K: Ritika expands District-level leadership to strengthen Girl child empowerment

Jammu, Jan 6: In a decisive and impactful step towards reinforcing the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) mission in Jammu & Kashmir, Ms. Ritika Trehan, State Convenor of BBBP, in consultation with Sh. Sat Paul Sharma (CA), Hon’ble Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and State President, BJP J&K-UT, and Sh. Ashok Koul , State General Secretary (Organization), BJP J&K-UT, today announced a major expansion of the BBBP organizational team across all 17 districts of Jammu province, with immediate effect.
This strategic expansion marks a significant milestone in strengthening grassroots implementation of the flagship national initiative aimed at protecting the girl child, promoting her education, and ensuring gender equality. District-wise Convenors and Co-Convenors have been nominated to ensure focused, accountable, and result-oriented execution of the programme at the local level.

Addressing the occasion, Ritika Trehan underlined the profound social relevance of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao project.
She called upon all newly appointed Convenors and Co-Convenors to actively engage with local communities, schools, parents, and stakeholders through regular outreach programmes, workshops, awareness drives, and interactive sessions. Stressing collective responsibility, she stated that sustained efforts at the grassroots are essential to create a safe, supportive, and empowering environment for girls across Jammu & Kashmir.
Ritika Trehan further assured that the expanded BBBP team would function under the visionary guidance of BJP leadership, ensuring strong coordination at district and state levels for maximum outreach and measurable impact
