BPRD organises training programme on Investigation on Cyber Crime

JAMMU, Jan 6: Today Five-day training programme for Investigator on "Women Safety", sponsored by the Bureau of Police Research & Development (BPR&D), New Delhi and a Five-day training programme on "Investigation of Cyber Crime", sponsored by the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C), New Delhi, were inaugurated at Sher-I-Kashmir Police Academy, Udhampur. A total of 51 Police officers ranging in rank from Assistant Sub-Inspector to Dy Superintendent of Police are participating in the courses. The training programmes aim to enhance the professional skills, legal knowledge and investigative techniques of officers in dealing with crimes related to Women Safety and Cyber Offences.
An inaugural function was organized wherein Shri Garib Dass, IPS, ADGP, Director SKPA graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and formally inaugurated the courses. In his address, Director SKPA emphasized the growing importance of specialized training in the investigation of crimes against women and cybercrimes, highlighting the need for professionalism, sensitivity and use of modern investigative tools. During the next 05 days the courses will cover various aspects of investigation through lectures, case studies and practical sessions conducted by subject-matter experts. Such training programmes are expected to strengthen the capacity of Police officers to effectively handle the emerging and sensitive crimes in a professional manner. Other senior faculty of SKPA were also present on the occasion.
The course Investigator on "Women Safety", is being coordinated by Shri Raiz Ahmed, Sr.PO assisted by SI Sardhari Lal and course on Investigation of Cyber Crime is being coordinated by Inspr Chander Mohan Sharma assisted by SgCt. Tejinder Chopra member faculty.
