JAMMU, Jan 6: The Director Horticulture, Jammu, Jenab Gul Syed attended an awareness camp organized under the Jammu & Kashmir Competitive Horticulture Implementation Project (JKCIP) at Narol Top, Zone Mendhar, District Poonch. During the programme, the Director interacted with farmers and orchardists, highlighting the objectives of JKCIP and encouraging the adoption of modern horticultural practices for sustainable income enhancement.
Later, the Director Horticulture, Jammu interacted with progressive orchardists of District Rajouri at Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Rajouri. The interaction focused on sharing experiences, addressing field-level issues, and promoting advanced technologies in horticulture. The programme was attended by the Chief Horticulture Officer, Susheel Anugral, Assistant Director Horticulture, Jammu, Sunil Gupta, KVK Head Rajouri Dr Arvind Kumar Isher, Dr Vikas Gupta, District Horticulture Officer Shafat Hussan Khan, MCC Rajouri, Amit Sraff and, DL-SMS, Sayed Mudsir Shah.
The Director emphasized the department's commitment towards strengthening horticulture development through farmer-centric initiatives and effective implementation of government schemes. |
