JAMMU, Jan 6: MLA Jammu West Arvind Gupta today dedicated the Panchayat Ghar to the public and inaugurated the work of a cremation shed at Ranjeetpura, Ward No. 32, marking another step towards strengthening civic infrastructure and community facilities in the constituency.
The programme was attended by former Minister Sukhnandan Choudhary, former Deputy Mayor Dharamveer Jamwal, Mandal President Anil Angral, former Sarpanch Avinash Singh, Arun Dubey, Geeta Sodhi, Arun Sharma, Kala Ram, and a large number of local residents who welcomed the initiative.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Arvind Gupta said that development of basic amenities remains a top priority for him.
"The Panchayat Ghar is the backbone of grassroots democracy. By dedicating this building, we aim to empower the local community, strengthen public participation, and ensure smooth delivery of government schemes at the village and ward level," he said.
Referring to the cremation shed, Gupta said it was a long-pending demand of the residents.
"The cremation shed is not just a structure; it is a facility that provides dignity and basic comfort to families during the most difficult moments of their lives. Our effort is to ensure that such essential facilities are available in every ward of Jammu West," he added.
Gupta further reiterated that the BJP is committed to transparent and people-centric development.
"We believe in development that directly touches people's lives. Every public work undertaken is aimed at improving quality of life and addressing genuine local needs," he asserted.

These facilities are essential for social welfare and community harmony. I congratulate MLA Arvind Gupta for continuously focusing on grassroots-level development."
