Nation Belongs To All
1/8/2026 11:19:50 PM
While addressing the ongoing National Cadet Corps (NCC) Republic Day Camp in the National Capital, Chief of the Indian Air Force, Air Chief Marshal A P Singh, stated that ‘Operation Sindoor’ reinforced the message that people must contribute to nation-building.
The Air Chief Marshal praised NCC cadets for their contributions during Operation Sindoor and reiterated that the military action against the terrorists reinforced the message that life is not just about earning money or personal pursuits, but also doing something for the country.
The Air Chief Marshal has given a clear message to all the countrymen that they need to remember that the nation belongs to all and everyone has to contribute towards nation building.
The developments that have taken place during the past few years have proven beyond doubt that everyone, whether he is a soldier, or a military leader in uniform or a regular citizen has to give his best to build the nation.
The developments across sectors—defence, economy, technology and governance—have demonstrated that national progress is possible only when every individual gives their best. Soldiers defend the borders, leaders shape policy, professionals drive innovation, and ordinary citizens uphold social harmony and civic responsibility. Each role is vital; none is dispensable.
The ’Operation Sindoor’ was carried out by the Indian armed forces in the early hours of May 7, 2025, targeting terror hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) in response to the Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 civilian lives last April.
At a time when material success often dominates public discourse, the reminder that life must also be about service to the nation is both timely and necessary.
Operation Sindoor symbolises courage and resolve, but its enduring lesson lies in unity and shared responsibility. Nation-building is not a one-time act or a uniformed obligation; it is a continuous collective journey.
The swift and decisive action by the Indian armed forces sent a clear and unequivocal message: India will not tolerate terrorism, and those who threaten its citizens will be held accountable. Beyond its military objectives, the operation underscored national resolve and unity in the face of adversity.
As India moves forward, the call is clear: every citizen must contribute, in thought and action, to building a secure, strong and resilient nation.
