Early Times Report RAMBAN, Jan 22: To ensure quality healthcare delivery and strengthen accountability in public health institutions, Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan along with Additional Deputy Commissioner, Varunjeet Singh Charak, conducted a late-hour surprise inspection of District Hospital. During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner undertook a comprehensive review of the hospital's overall functioning and assessed the availability and quality of healthcare services being provided to patients. He inspected wards, interacted with patients and attendants, and enquired about the treatment facilities, cleanliness, availability of medicines and responsiveness of medical staff. The Deputy Commissioner also checked attendance, verified duty rosters and assessed punctuality of doctors and paramedical staff. Emphasizing the importance of discipline and commitment, he made it clear that negligence in duty and absenteeism would not be tolerated under any circumstances. Issuing specific directions to the Medical Superintendent, the Deputy Commissioner stressed the need for deputing senior doctors on routine duties to ensure effective supervision and timely medical intervention for patients. The Deputy Commissioner advised all doctors and healthcare staff to discharge their duties with utmost dedication, compassion and professionalism, reiterating that patient care remains the top priority of the district administration. He warned that any dereliction of duty would invite strict action, underscoring the administration's commitment to providing efficient, accessible and quality healthcare services to the people of Ramban district. |
