Sangaldan Gool, Feb 8: In order to educate the general public about the recently introduced criminal laws, an awareness programme was organized by District Police at dak bungloe sangaldan. The programme was aimed to inform citizens about the key provisions and changes brought under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA), which have replaced the earlier IPC, CrPC, and Evidence Act. Emphasis was laid on strengthening public safety, speedy justice, victim rights, use of technology in investigations, and stricter punishment for organized crime, cyber offences, and crimes against women and children. During the session, officers explained important aspects such as: Registration of FIRs and Zero FIR Rights of victims and witnesses Provisions related to cybercrime and digital evidence Women and child protection laws Timely investigation and trial procedures The programme was attended by shopkeepers,transporters,sarpanches,panches and youth of the ares Participants actively interacted with police officers and clarified their doubts regarding the new legal provisions. The objective of such programmes is to create legal awareness among the public and promote cooperation between police and citizens for maintaining law and order.policr also urged the participants to remain informed about their legal rights and responsibilities. |
