Rohiin Chandan condemns Congress' 'Shirtless' shame at India AI Impact Summit
2/21/2026 10:10:31 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 21: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Media Secretary District Jammu South, Rohiin Chandan today strongly condemned the Indian National Congress and its youth wing for orchestrating a shameful and indecent 'shirtless' protest at the prestigious India AI Impact Summit 2026 held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The protest, staged by members of the Indian Youth Congress (IYC), disrupted a landmark global event that showcased India's technological advancements and ambitions in artificial intelligence.
Describing the incident as a "national shame," Rohiin Chandan criticized the Congress party's leadership, particularly Rahul Gandhi, for endorsing such an act that tarnished India's image on the international stage. "This topless protest was not an expression of dissent but a deliberate attempt to embarrass India in front of the world," he said.
The demonstration took place inside the exhibition hall where the summit was underway, with Youth Congress activists entering the venue using QR codes and passes. They removed their shirts, shouted slogans opposing the prime minister, and wore printed t-shirts with derogatory messages. Their disruptive behavior necessitated immediate security intervention, resulting in the detention of several protesters. Authorities are now investigating a larger conspiracy involving attempts to bypass facial recognition and security protocols.
Rohiin Chandan condemned the protest as a "new low in the Congress's politics of desperation and shamelessness." He added, "While India is emerging as a global leader in AI innovation, the Congress chooses to stage a brainless and indecent spectacle. This is hooliganism that seeks to undermine the hard work and progress made by millions of Indians striving to build a developed and proud Bharat."
Highlighting the significance of the India AI Impact Summit, Rohiin Chandan noted that the event brought together global technology leaders and showcased India's commitment to leveraging AI for public good. "Instead of celebrating this achievement, Congress chose to disrupt and disgrace it. Their 'shirtless' stunt reveals their frustration, ideological bankruptcy, and blatant disregard for India's culture, decorum, and national pride."
He called on the Congress high command, including Rahul Gandhi, to take responsibility and hold those involved accountable. Rohiin Chandan urged the people of Jammu & Kashmir and the entire nation to reject the divisive and indecent politics of Congress. "Under BJP's leadership, our country and region are witnessing unprecedented development and investment. Our youth deserve opportunities in technology and innovation, not disgraceful theatrics from a discredited party."
