JAMMU, Feb 21: Continuing its crackdown against drug trafficking, Jammu Police (South Zone) arrested two drug peddlers and recovered 7.81 grams of heroin-like substance within the jurisdiction of PP Gadigarh.
On 20.02.2026, a patrolling team of PP Gadigarh, led by I/C PP Gadigarh and assisted by SHO PS Satwari, intercepted a motorcycle (JK02DP-0133) in the Babliana area. The accused were identified as:
Yakoob, S/o Abdul Karim, R/o Babliana
Muneer Ahmed, S/o Abdul Hamid, R/o Babliana
Heroin-like substance was recovered from their possession. The accused were arrested, and the contraband was seized on the spot.
A case has been registered under the relevant sections of law, and investigation has been set into motion. Further investigation is underway to uncover forward and backward linkages. |
