Jammu, Feb 21: BJP Spokesperson and former Vice Chairman Balbir Ram Rattan has termed the latest tourism figures placed before the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly as stronh evidence of restored peace and a stable environment in Jammu and Kashmir.
Referring to the statement made by Chief Minister and Tourism Minister Omar Abdullah in the House, Balbir said that the unprecedented surge in tourist arrivals reflects growing national and international confidence in the Union Territory.
According to the data shared in the Assembly, over 7.85 crore tourists visited Jammu and Kashmir between 2023 and 2025, compared to 4.76 crore during 2016–2018.
