NHPC Limited conferred with Rajbhasha Awards

NEW DELHI, Feb 21: NHPC Limited's Salal Power Station has been conferred the First Prize by the Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, for outstanding implementation of the Official Language policy among PSUs located in 'Region C'. The award was presented by the Union Minister of Home and Cooperation Amit Shah to Uttam Lal, Director (Personnel), NHPC and Anish Gauraha, Executive Director, Salal Power Station. Further, TOLIC (Office) Faridabad, functioning under the chairmanship of NHPC Limited, Corporate Office, Faridabad, was honoured with the Second Prize. The shield was received by Shri Uttam Lal, Director (Personnel) and the certificate by Naveen Kumar Jain, Executive Director (HR) & HoD, Rajbhasha Dept., NHPC Limited from Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs. Moreover, TOLIC (Office) Reasi, functioning under the chairmanship of Salal Power Station, Jyotipuram was also honoured with the Second Prize. The award was received by Sanjeev Kumar, Deputy General Manager (HR) and Kuldeep Kumar Sharma, Deputy Manager (Rajbhasha) from the Union Minister of State for Home Affairs. These awards given for Official Language implementation were presented on 20 February 2026 at the Joint Regional Official Language Conference of the Eastern, North-Eastern, and Northern Regions held in Agartala, Tripura. On this occasion, Chief Minister of Tripura Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) Tripura (West) Biplab Kumar Deb, Member of Parliament, Tripura (East) Lok Sabha, Kriti Devi Debbaraman, Member of Parliament Rajya Sabha Rajib Bhattacharjee and Secretary, Department of Official Language Anshuli Arya were present. NHPC has made significant progress in the field of hydropower generation and development as well as in the field of official language Hindi. NHPC has been honored with several other national-level Official Language Awards for its remarkable achievements in the field of official language implementation.
