MLA Mankotia inaugurates multiple development projects; Public Darbar resolves key civic issues on spot

CHENANI, Feb 21: A major step towards strengthening rural infrastructure and irrigation facilities was taken today with the inauguration of multiple development projects vital irrigation kool from Bajalta to Palian in Ossu Panchayat. The project, constructed at an estimated cost of ?1.27 crore, was formally inaugurated by MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia.
On the occasion, a Public Darbar was organized, drawing enthusiastic participation from local residents who extended a warm welcome to the MLA. Officers from all major departments were present, enabling direct interaction between the administration and the public.
During the Public Darbar, people raised several pressing issues concerning electricity supply, drinking water availability, road connectivity, and damages caused by recent floods. Concerns regarding shortage of ambulance services, agriculture-related challenges, forest issue, and transport connectivity were also discussed in detail.
Demonstrating responsive governance, many grievances were addressed and resolved on the spot through coordinated directions issued to the concerned departments. Officials assured time-bound action on remaining matters.
Addressing the gathering, MLA Mankotia reiterated his commitment to people-centric governance and said that since after elections, he has been regularly organizing Public Darbars across the Chenani Ghordi constituency, including remote and far-flung areas. He emphasized that government officials must reach the doorstep of the people and that citizens should not be compelled to repeatedly visit government offices for basic services. He further stated that such outreach programmes aim to strengthen public trust, accelerate development works, and ensure effective implementation of welfare schemes at the grassroots level.
Local residents expressed gratitude towards MLA Mankotia for the swift redressal of their issues and appreciated the administration's presence at their doorstep.
