Director Agriculture Jammu reviews progress under HADP, CAPEX, CSS and NABARD projects

JAMMU, Feb 23: Director Agriculture Jammu, Shri Anil Gupta, today convened a comprehensive review meeting at the Conference Hall of the Directorate of Agriculture, Jammu, to take stock of the physical and financial achievements under various projects being implemented through the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), CAPEX, CSS, and NABARD projects.
The meeting was attended by Joint Director Agriculture (Inputs), Shri Ashwani Sharma; Joint Director Agriculture (Extension), Shri Sanjay Anand; Joint Director Agriculture (Farms/SLUB), Shri Aman Jyoti Sharma; Chief Agriculture Officers of all districts of Jammu Division; Regional-level SMS; Deputy Director Planning; scheme heads; sectoral and technical officers; and officers from the CSS and Planning Sections of the Directorate.
During the meeting, detailed presentations were made highlighting scheme-wise and component-wise physical achievements, financial expenditures, and progress against the approved targets under HADP projects, CAPEX, CSS and NABARD schemes. The Director held threadbare discussions to assess the pace of implementation and overall performance.
Director Agriculture also reviewed the functioning of Kisan Khidmat Ghars (KKGs) established under HADP. He assessed their activities, working mechanism, expenditure status and liabilities. The meeting deliberated upon the operational status and challenges related to the KKG Portal, Krishi Mapper, Kisan Sathi Portal and Youth Clubs. He directed all Chief Agriculture Officers to gear up the progress of Krishi Mapper and ensure timely data updation for effective monitoring and planning.
Special emphasis was laid on the promotion of Natural Farming. The Director reviewed cluster registration and expenditure under Natural Farming initiatives and directed CAOs to intensify efforts for expansion and effective implementation at the grassroots level.
The meeting concluded with a call for coordinated efforts, close monitoring and result-oriented implementation to achieve the set targets within stipulated timelines.
