Early Times Report RAJOURI, Mar 6: On the occasion of International Women's Day, the Indian Army in collaboration with Government Medical College, Rajouri, organised a Blood Donation Camp at Samote on 06 March 2026. The initiative aimed to promote voluntary blood donation among Indian Army personnel and local residents, thereby strengthening blood reserves for critically ill patients and reaffirming the Army's commitment to the welfare of people residing in remote areas. The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from both Army personnel and local civilians, reflecting a strong spirit of unity, compassion and service towards humanity. Medical specialists from the Indian Army and Government Medical College, Rajouri, supervised the camp, ensuring safe collection, proper screening and appropriate storage of blood units. Awareness sessions were also conducted during the event to educate participants about the significance of voluntary blood donation, its health benefits and the lifesaving role it plays during emergencies, surgeries and the treatment of chronic illnesses.
